In the last ten years, BudgIT has facilitated budget reforms at the national and sub-national levels through stakeholder and institutional engagements, collaborations, partnerships, civic-tech innovation and active citizen mobilisation.
Through our project tracking platform, Tracka, we have ensured effective service through project tracking and monitoring in 32 states. We have facilitated grassroots development and budget implementation in the grassroots through continuous institutional engagement and citizen mobilization.
So far, we have tracked over 16,738 projects, tracked the completion of over 7000 constituency projects, facilitated 15,000 town hall meetings through our 36 project tracking officers across Nigeria, with support from 1500 community champions currently present in 32 states.
With over 200 million online impressions and 10 million offline reaches in a decade, BudgIT is currently imprinting its footprints within Africa’s civic tech-space – Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ghana– and beyond.
