Analysis of Federal Government Spendings from the Opentreasury Portal July – December 2023
This report is an in-depth analysis of Federal Government spending from July to December 2023, including payments disbursed to ministries, contractors, personal accounts, and duplicate payments. It provides recommendations on how to effectively monitor and prevent duplicate transactions in the future.
Between July and December 2023, N9.243tn was paid to contractors, ministries, and individuals for various projects in the country. BudgIT’s investigation, however, revealed that some of these payments were duplicated, and many appeared suspicious.
