2017 Approved Budget
A total budget of N7.44 trillion was approved by the National Assembly in 2017. A breakdown of this includes total revenue of N5.08 trillion and a deficit of N2.35 trillion.
Of the total budget, the federal government’s revenue from FAAC stood at N3.29 trillion, N2.64 trillion and N2.174 trillion were earmarked for recurrent (non-debt) and capital expenditure, respectively, while debt servicing had N1.663 trillion.
